6-8 Grade 2008-2009 Events
September 14 Camp St. Croix Day Activity
Youth will go to Hudson’s Camp St. Croix for an afternoon of game-playing, rope climbing and wall scaling. After our group bonding, we will have a pizza dinner.
October 16-17 Cardboard Box City 2008
Youth will sleep-out at the State Fair Grounds in a decorated cardboard box in order to build awareness and funds to knock-out family homelessness. While there, youth will enjoy music at the band stand and eat soup kitchen style.
November 2 Thanksgiving Basket Scavenger Hunt
Youth will visit church members and neighbors in the Roseville area requesting food items for Thanksgiving baskets for our Starfish Families. Of course, a bit of competition will be added!
January 13 Feed My Starving Children
Youth will be going to “Feed my Starving Children” in Brooklyn Park where they will be packaging food to feed the hungry around the world.
February 8 JUMP Hip Hop Worship
Youth are going to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Minneapolis to worship Hip Hop style with the group JUMP.
April 19 Backwards Progressive Lunch
Youth will be going from home to home to enjoy a meal that starts with dessert and works its way back to the appetizers!
